Interesting take and I agree to an extent that Luke's portrayal is a core issue of the Last Jedi but for me the film struggles less with its ideas and more with its execution. For instance, my main gripe is how this effected Finn, a character who could and probably should have seriously shined in this film, but was relegated to strange comic relief C-character stuff.

Anyway, I'm glad at least some people liked it.
